If you are interested in capturing Yosemite photography you might want to consider doing some research into the park history and it's features before you visit. The entire park is almost 1,000,000 acres however The areas of visitors focus on is much less. Visitors to the park only spend their time in about a 7 square mile area. It is likely that you will be able to find a lot of material for your photography just in this area.

The number of park visitors every year gets close to 4 million.If you are concerned about what you want to include in your pictures this statistic can be important to you. If you do not want to include people in your photographs then you will want to consider the times when the park is least populated.

The park has a worldwide reputation for the great scenery. This includes great features like clear streams and giant Sequoia trees. It also holds a ranking as one of the world heritage sites.

There is a large diversity of plants and animals in this region. It is identified as one of the largest blocks of habitat in the Sierra Nevada. It is also one of the least fragmented blocks of the region.

In the 7 square mile area that is most visited, tourists should try to make sure they get to see at least some views that are particularly notable. One such a view to that receives quite a bit of attention from photographers is the tunnel view. When visiting this area this is usually the first thing that Viewers will encounter.

El Capitan is another view that deserves special mention. The view comprises of a large granite cliff overlooking the Yosemite Valley. The climbing routes on this cliff are numerous and diverse and are very popular worldwide with rock climbers. It is possible to access the cliff any time during the year which adds to its popularity.

Other spectacular views in the area include Dana Meadows. These views can also be found within the area most visited by tourists There are many other spectacular views but these are definitely worth a visit if you can get to them.

The Sequoia trees of Yosemite are well known across the world. These trees are contained in three separate Groves Known as the Mariposa, the Merced and the Tuolumne. These groups contain different numbers of trees the one thing that is common among them is the impressive giant size of their trees.

The region stands out for the large number of waterfalls that are concentrated in the area. The area contains formations create conditions that are very conducive to the formation of waterfalls. This park has the highest waterfall in the United States. Also contained in this park is the highest single vertical drop.

If Yosemite photography is of interest to you there is an abundance of areas for you to photograph. Your only consideration should be what interests you among the many options available and how much time you have. The options can sometimes be overwhelming. Try to conduct some research before you visit.
