The Importance Of Christmas Play Scripts In Our Modern Lives

By Dianne Crane

Jesus is the inspiration to Christians all around the world. There are many stories that are based on His life, and perhaps the most inspiring one is that which tells us how He was born. The magic of this moment that was captured by the shepherds is told to use through Christmas play scripts and these serve to help us relive the magic of Christmas.

There are many stories which involve lots of interesting characters and tell of wondrous deeds. Some of these deal with the chase where Herod wants to kill the Baby Jesus as soon as He comes to know about the news of His birth. Some of them tell us different versions of the story and yet others tell us how Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer got involved.

Many of these stories bring their own share of wonder and magic. Add Santa Claus and one gets new and varied dimensions, some of which are really fantastic. Of course, Santa and his sleigh bells will be a part of every Christmas tale that is told. He is the inspiration for the children and the way he brings them toys is second only to the story of the stork bringing babies.

The scripts written for this season will highlight the events that led to the birth of Christ. It is also for those people who were involved in the event. The father Joseph and the mother Mary are the principal characters of course. The others are the shepherds who wait on to see the Baby Jesus and the Wise Men who bring gifts for Him.

Herod and his soldiers chase Joseph with the intention of killing him. This script is played by the bigger children. It is to understand how greed can destroy if one is not careful. The Wise Men who warn Joseph about the plan Herod has to kill and this is enough for Joseph to escape. This script is an action script and maost if not all the seniors will find it amusing.

The main things about the season are highlighted by the scripts. These bring the children closer to religion and help them understand what Jesus has done for us. This is the time they come to understand why they are Christians and how they should be willing to give and share. Dramas are written in a manner that brings out these points.

One involves children during this season of love and sharing through the dramas. Children are made to play some part in the enactment so that they find what they need to do in order to be real Christians. By fostering the spirit of love one crates morally responsible citizens who understand their duties better. The children find that their involvement is brought to the fruition only when they are willing to share for their brethren.

There are stories that inspire and these Christmas play scripts have continued to inspire generations of people. Maybe some of them are skeptical, since many of these events happened so long ago. But it is the spirit of sharing and the ability to receive love that makes man different from the animals. It is the one thing that man as a social being shares more than anything in the world.
