Photography Tips For Newbie Photographers

By Karina Heimann

For those people who are just beginners in the field of Golden Gate Bridge photography, it is a good recommendation for them to alter their perspective. He should not just limit the shots that he take to those images that are taken at the subject's eye level. He should learn how to change the angle of his shoots to give a better impact.

The person may also think about manipulating eye contact. In zoom photography, he should know how to capture the expression in the subject's eyes. The eye contact does not necessarily pertain to the subject gazing straight at the lens. The subject can look somewhere else too.

Another good shot usually has the subject looking at another object within the frame. Of course, this is another unique image that the photographer can take. He can use a baby as his subject, with the latter reaching out to a ball or to his milk bottle. He might also want to pick other subjects that seem to have an interest in another tangible object.

Learn about the rules of composition but do not be bounded by it. While it is a good idea for the person to be aware of the various rules of compositions such as the rule of thirds, he should still bring out his creativity when it comes to taking pictures. He does not have to follow the rules of composition so strictly.

Experiment with the lighting. There are many things that he can learn if he experiments with the lighting hands-on. He should be able to make use of the knowledge that he has gained from the experiment in his actually shooting. The lighting will have an impact on his Moonbow photography.

Always make sure to take extra photos of his subject outside of their comfort zone. There are times when the subject will appear stiff in the picture just because they are too used with the environment that he is taking a shot of. If possible, he should make sure to do something unnatural or unexpected with the subject outside of that comfort zone to make a special picture.

Being candid will help too. He should learn how to shoot candidly since this will allow them to get a more natural shot. If he allows his subject to pose, he might get stiff and posed shots. There are many photographers who will prefer to switch to the candid type approach from time to time.

One should also learn the importance of props for Golden Gate Bridge photography. The picture will have a better point of interest with the props. However, he should make sure that this will not take away the focus from the subject.
