Newest camera from Nikon changes photography

By Uzair Kharawala

Nikon's new flagship D-SLR, the D4, is the final digital SLR camera to radically change photography. Whether or not you are a picture, marriage, commercial or a sports cameraman, this camera will realize each shooting opportunity. With a new pro FX-format camera brings new levels of image-quality, speed and precision to both still photography and video.

Kitted out with a 16.2 megapixel FX-format sensor, exceptionally high ISO and Nikon's powerful EXPEED3 image processing engine, the new model offers uncompromised performance and unequalled suppleness in acute environmental conditions and lighting.

The Nikon D4 offers blisteringly fast fps performance and sets a new baseline in low-noise performance. The 16.2 megapixel sensor with fast channel readout delivers up to 11 fps - quicker than any other Nikon DSLR camera to the current day.

Snaps are of significant quality with low noise and wide dynamic range when shot at high ISO thanks to the optimized noise prevention design and 14-bit A/D signal processing built into the sensor. The extraordinary ISO range sets a new baseline of 12800ISO and extends the range one EV further to make ISO 100 the standard. For harder conditions, equivalent ISO 50 and ISO 204,800 sensitivities make the D4 the camera of choice for photographers who often face intense lighting challenges.

Broadcast quality video

For pros whose workflow demands video, the D4 offers all the adaptability required for a wide selection of motion picture applications. It's huge format film shooting at its best, with an all-encompassing growth of frame refresh rates.

Frame rates: Full HD (1080p) footage can be recorded in 30p, 25p and 24p, with 60p, 50p, 30p and 25p options at 720p. Film clips can be close to 30 minutes long (approx. 29.59 min).

Multi-area mode: Full HD (1080p) recording is possible in both FX and DX based formats as well as in local Full HD (19201080) crop.

High-fidelity audio control: answering feedback from the industry, the D4 introduces novel chances for D-SLR audio recording that enable your pictures to sound as good as they look. Except for the external stereo mic input, an audio out for external earphones permits you to tune audio in isolation.
