10 Most Crucial Wedding Don'ts

By Jarg Woldhuis

Weddings are about those two dear words that sum up the celebration. "I do," is said and once sealed means a life of unity. Yet what about the "don'ts" that are better left unspoken yet clearly heard?

Here's the 10 most vital "wedding don'ts" to get you towards a great life.

1. Do not be late in your own wedding. Awful concept to start your life along with you minutes late on your most critical day ever. Actually really bad.

2. Don't forget your in-laws. This includes not neglecting their names.

3. Don't overshadow your better half. If you are the groom, make sure you give the instant to your bride. If you're the bride, ensure as well to remember you've got a groom and the day is shared with him.

4. Don't fall asleep during the ceremony. Wedding jitters and all, it is huge no-no to nap off in your own wedding. As a matter of fact, make an effort of showing your full interest on what's being related and who is saying what. That might give you a very nice time post wedding party. 5. Do not get too lagered in the reception. You don't want to mark your first night with you in bed asleep all of the time. That'd be catastrophic and will do zip to lift up your bride or groom's spirits.

6. Remember your lines in the vows. After all the effort and resources spent for your wedding, take some more of that by actually learning by heart your lines. Wedding vows is the high point of a wedding and once being declared, guaranteed to get all the awareness of those present. You cannot forget this one.

7. Don't open wedding gifts in front of guests. Opening of gifts must be done in the environs of your room and your first couple activity after the reception. While at it, don't let others do the opening. And remember who gave what so you can both say "thank you for the beautiful set of towels," or "we love the set of silverwares...Thank you so much!"

8. Don't miss a table if making the rounds comes reception time. The rule here is go round or don't go around at all.

9. Don't forget to smile in your photos. Remember, the moment is caught only once and there wouldn't be any "take twos."

10. Don't forget your signatures on the wedding documents. Or there wouldn't be any wedding to speak of at all.
